What does it mean to become born again?

Before you become born again, although physically alive, you are without hope, dead in trespasses and sin. You have a physical body and soul life. However, when you become born again you receive the gift of holy spirit which is Christ in you. You now have a body, soul life and holy spirit. Adam’s sin meant that the spiritual connection between God and man became lost, but Jesus Christ came to reconnect it and in a much bigger way.
Jesus Christ did not sin but carried your sin and died for you on the cross. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death. However, Jesus Christ defeated death when he was resurrected three and half days later after dying on the cross. When you become born again, you receive the forgiveness of your sins through Jesus Christ. You receive a spirit which is perfect and sinless and will never die so thus you now have eternal life.
How can I become born again?
The Bible tells us that when you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and that God raised him from the dead you become saved. Jesus himself said I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.To be born again literally means to be born from above.
Can I receive salvation by good works?
The Bible explicitly tells us that you cannot be saved by your good works. Salvation is only through God’s grace and not by yourself. Once you become born again, the bible then says then and only then are we created in Christ for good works.
Can I receive salvation through believing in other gods?
Jesus Christ himself declares that he is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father only by him. All other so-called gods and ways to salvation are false and counterfeit. Do not let anyone beguile you away from the only way of salvation which is through Jesus Christ.
Why must I become born again?
To become born again means that you have obtained salvation and eternal life through Christ. The only way to eternal life and to enter the Kingdom to come is through believing in Jesus Christ. Today, everyone has been given freewill to choose their path but, in the future, everyone will be judged according to whether they have believed in Jesus Christ. This is by far THE most important decision of your entire existence.
Once born again, can I lose my salvation?
No. When you become born again you become a son of God. Just as it’s biologically impossible to reverse the fact that you belong to your biological father, so too is it impossible to reverse the fact you belong to your spiritual Father. Although you will always have eternal life, God expects you now to walk in the things of His Word. Some people, although saved, will be ashamed of themselves at the return of Christ because they failed to walk in His Word but for you it doesn’t need to be this way.
I’ve become born again but what shall I do next?

Pray and keep on praying for the Lord to work within your heart to guide you into the Truth and for you to carry yourself within the Love of God. You must remain humble and meek towards God’s Word and be ready to ditch your old ways of thinking, replacing them for the Truth of God’s Word. Buy yourself a Bible (preferably a King James version) and download one of the many free bible apps out there and just start reading. Don’t worry if you don’t understand everything you first read. The Word of God is not just words but a living entity. It is life itself; it is the Word of the living God and even after many years you will still be learning, marvelling at its depth of spiritual knowledge.
